The contemporary world is made up of several political ideologies and various political regimes. Some countries’ political systems have changed throughout history due to certain events. For example, Romania was a communist regime after World War II, but that regime collapsed in favour of democracy after the Cold War. Politics is present everywhere in today’s society and it comes in many forms. To understand the different issues facing today’s world, and to understand how political power is structured around the world, it’s important to grasp some basic concepts. This knowledge will make it easier to analyze the various situations presented.
