Statistics can be used to analyze a data value with respect to its distribution. To do so, the measures of position can be used.

Measures of position enable us to locate data among the other data in a distribution.
Corps
Two of the most commonly used measures of position are the minimum and maximum of a distribution, i.e., the lowest and highest values of a distribution. However, there are also other measures that require slightly more thought from those that use them.
