              An odd number is a number which is impossible to represent with groups of 2 without having a remainder.

              When you represent an odd number using objects or a drawing and you form groups of 2, there always remains a single object left out. If you can represent the number in groups of 2 without an object remaining, it is an even number.

              We can recognize an odd number by looking at the digit in the ones position. Odd numbers end with the following numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.
